Electrical Engineer Intern

Your role

As a Electrical Engineer Intern, your mission is to support the engineering and design of core electrical components and assemblies for vacuum systems in accordance with customer specifications.

• Provide support to the lead Electrical Engineer and internal customers to develop electronic controls, PLC programs and power systems for integrated vacuum systems and create designs for new products and improve existing designs.
• Design electrical systems for assigned projects including developing the appropriate AutoCAD drawings.
• Work with production and field service personnel to assist with the application, analysis, planning and potential debugging of different vacuum systems.
• Knowledge of cloud integration and other industrial communications protocols (like, but not limited to, Profibus/Profinet/Modbus/RS485/…) is a plus.

• Full‑time student enrolled in a four‑year college or university; currently enrolled in at least junior year within an Electrical engineering curriculum.
• Broad technical background in areas such as CAD design systems, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, and/or electro‑mechanical design and control system development.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, and the pragmatic application of strong mechanical design theory and analytical skills.
• Ability to self‑motivate and work productively with limited supervision.
