Job Description

Join a leading company in manufacturing innovative instrumentation solutions for the HVAC and Process Automation markets. The company is renowned for its technical advancements, holding over 650 patents, and is based in Michigan City, Indiana, with global satellite locations. As an Automation Technician, you will manage automated equipment within the manufacturing lines, including Epson Robots and Automation Direct/Rockwell PLCs.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with line implementation efforts.

+ Troubleshoot automated issues occurring within manufacturing.

+ Understand the manufacturing process and involved automation.

+ Perform troubleshooting on Bar Code vision systems.

+ Ensure operators understand the automated equipment prior to use.

+ Work cross-functionally with maintenance, operators, and Automation Engineers.

+ Improve the manufacturing/product process.

Essential Skills

+ Technical associate's degree related to engineering (EET, MET, Automation, Advanced Manufacturing, etc.).

+ 3+ years of experience working with automated manufacturing equipment.

+ Skills in automation, troubleshooting, electrical, HMI, robotics, and controls engineering.

+ Experience in PLC troubleshooting and programming, particularly with Automation Direct and Epson Robots.

+ Experience working with Automation Direct PLCs.

+ Direct experience with Epson Robots.

Work Environment

Based in Michigan City, IN, you will assist in line implementation working on a 2-2-3 schedule, which includes 12-hour second shifts from 7 pm to 7 am. The schedule alternates between 36-hour weeks and 48-hour weeks, with some weekends required. Overtime is available. This is a 12-month contract with a possibility of becoming permanent based on performance, offering 80 hours of PTO and 6 paid holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
