Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor patients' health status and report changes or concerns to RNs or doctors.
- Observe and record patient reactions to medications and treatments.
- Collect specimens such as blood and urine for lab testing.
- Explain procedures and care plans to patients and their families.
- Communicate concerns and provide support to patients and families.
- Ensure patients and families understand discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts and records.
- Document patient care, vital signs, and observations in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other support staff.
- Administer prescribed medications and injections.
- Perform wound care, including changing dressings and applying compresses.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Change and administer catheters.
- Take record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
