Your ImpactAs an Onboarding Specialist, you will own the end-to-end onboarding experience from offer acceptance through Day 1, ensuring new hires are fully cleared, accurately set up, and ready to contribute on day one. Your work directly supports hiring velocity, compliance, and a consistent, high‑quality employee experience as we scale.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Own post‑offer onboarding processes, including background checks, drug screens, employment eligibility verification, and start‑date readiness
- Manage Form I-9 completion, verification, reverification, and audits in compliance with federal requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during the pre-employment phase, providing clear guidance and bilingual support in English and Spanish
- Accurately enter and maintain new hire data in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, completeness, and compliance
- Coordinate and facilitate Day 1 orientation sessions, delivering an engaging overview of company culture, policies, benefits, and expectations
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, HR, IT, Safety, and hiring managers to ensure seamless onboarding execution
- Track onboarding metrics and identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve systems usage, and reduce time to start
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience, including hands‑on onboarding or general HR operations
- Fully proficient in English and Spanish, with the ability to provide real‑time verbal and written translation
- Experience managing compliance-driven processes such as background checks, I-9s, and new hire documentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple start dates and priorities simultaneously
- High attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential employee information
- Clear, confident communicator with strong problem-solving and judgment skills
- Associate’s degree or higher in Human Resources or a related field preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 25% to support business units as needed
