Senior Ecologist / Biologist – NEPA Team Lead (Dayton, OH)

Patriot Engineering and Environmental, Inc. invites applications for the Senior Ecologist / Biologist – NEPA Team Lead position in our Dayton, Ohio office. This leadership role will shape infrastructure projects across the state by guiding the development of Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) from initiation through completion.

• Lead and manage NEPA projects, including wetland and stream assessments, mitigation, EISs, and EAs.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies, stakeholders, and the public.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring quality and consistency in environmental documentation.
• Conduct impact analyses, review technical reports, and provide strategic guidance on environmental planning.
• Stay current with regulatory regulations, policies, and best practices.

• 15+ years of demonstrated experience in NEPA project management, environmental consulting, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ecology, Biology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of NEPA regulations and CEQ guidelines.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working with agencies such as USACE, FEMA, and DOE is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
