Title Accounts Payable Specialist Department Accounting

In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:

Position purpose

To ensure accurate and timely payments to the Casino's lenders and business partners.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

Review invoices, prepare payment requisitions, and obtain appropriate approval in writing for payment. Review debit card transactions, ensure approval, and record account entry. Follow proper procedures in recording payments, reconciling the general ledger. Ensure compliance with prescribed standards, policies, and procedures. Obtain and maintain gaming license. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires High School Diploma or equivalent, some college education is preferred. At least 2 years previous accounting experience or combination of experience and equivalent education required. Must be at least 18.

Work Requirements

Requires problem solving skills, advanced computer skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Requires knowledge of standard accounting practices. Position involves prolonged sitting, stooping or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 30 pounds on a daily basis. Work is performed in an office or casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
