Job Summary

The Athletics Department is currently seeking a Temporary Strength and Conditioning Assistant to join their team of professionals.

Responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Support the daily operations and implementation of the Strength and Conditioning program for FIU Athletics, athlete supervision, and facility operations under the direction of the Director of Strength and Conditioning.
  • Oversee and coordinate student‑athletes during strength and conditioning sessions designed by certified strength coaches.
  • Provide instruction on proper exercise technique, movement patterns, and equipment use under direct supervision.
  • Assist with team warm‑ups, mobility work, flexibility routines, and recovery activities approved by certified personnel.
  • Evaluates athlete effort, safety, and adherence to training guidelines.
  • Assist in the coordination of daily setup and breakdown of training equipment under established program procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the strength and conditioning facilities.
  • Coordinate administrative functions related to scheduling, attendance tracking, and required program documentation in collaboration with program staff.
  • Collaborates with athletic training staff to support workout modifications and athlete needs, as approved by certified personnel.
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in Athletics field.
