• Follow and comply with safe operating practices and procedures.
• Travel to and perform work at customer locations, with most work performed outside.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light and medium vehicles in the field.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment.
• Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, lifts, and jacks.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on various vehicle systems (Electrical/Brake/Cooling, Starters/Alternators, Engine electronics, Transmissions, etc.).
• Diagnose and repair components including electrical systems, air conditioning, engine electronics, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and more.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using scanners and pressure gauges; document findings and perform repairs.
• Identify problems, evaluate information, and determine appropriate actions; determine parts required, order, and pickup as needed.
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, environmental policies, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Document work according to company standards and upload RO findings, parts used, and photos; complete DOT forms as applicable.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and assist with end-of-day cleanup.
• Apply knowledge from training and experience to perform duties and work with the support team to meet customer needs and expectations.
• Manage concurrent tasks and prioritize work and time allocations; communicate with corporate offices for approvals and purchase orders.
• Participate in company-required safety training and maintain service vehicles with safety checks and pre/post-trip inspections.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Safe driver with valid driver’s license.
• Possess and provide a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Automotive Technician on light/medium vehicle repair or equivalent combination of education/certifications/skill/experience; 2 years of equivalent experience in a similar technician role.

• Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods; capable of moderately heavy labor.
• Endurance to perform repetitive tasks and work long hours.
• Effective communication skills; able to convey information clearly and engage in two-way communication.
• Ability to determine tools and equipment needed for tasks.
• Spatial awareness to judge distances and positioning of objects.
• Use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches to problems.
