Carpenters construct and repair building framework and structures - such as stairways, door frames, partitions, and rafters - made from wood and other materials. They also may install kitchen cabinets, siding, and drywall.
RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Must be comfortable with metal and wood framing and root truss components
- Reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
- Using hand and electric tools to cut, fabricate and install frame work
- Comfortable building and repairing cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, finishing interior and exterior trim, and other wooden fixture
- Must have own tools
