Overview

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is the leading provider of on‑site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide. The company offers mobile fleet service for light, medium, and heavy‑duty trucks and trailers and services customers at 50+ nationwide service centers.

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Adjust and repair truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling, starter/alternator, fan clutch, engine electronics, diesel steering, and transmissions.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment using handheld computers, pressure gauges, and road testing.
• Manage parts inventory and perform periodic reconciliation on company‑issued service truck.
• Maintain and operate company‑issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks and pre/post‑trip inspections.
• Document repair work, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders using iOS device and TRAIT application.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all documentation in a timely fashion.
• Work independently, manage daily schedule, and maintain high productivity within standard repair times.
• Perform all work in compliance with safety, environmental, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience (or 5 years with additional degree/certification).
• Possess a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• Pass DOT‑regulated background screening, DOT physical, and obtain a DOT medical card with at least 4 months remaining.
• Be at least 21 years old, hold a valid state driver’s license, and maintain a Driver Qualification File.

• ASE T8 (PMI) – required within 18 months.
• Preferred: ASE T3 (Drivetrain), T4 (Brakes), T5 (Suspension), T6 (Electrical & Electronic Systems), T7 (HVAC), 608/609.

• Understand implications of new information for problem solving and decision making.
• Lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods; perform heavy labor.
• Communicate clearly and engage in effective two‑way communication.
• Determine appropriate tools and equipment for tasks.
• Use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions.

Hourly base pay $26.06–$39.13/hour, depending on location and qualifications. Additional compensation may include commissions and incentive programs.
