Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbound calls.
- Respond to email inquiries in a timely manner.
- Interact with internal and external customers via phone and in person.
- Continuous monitoring and maintenance of the Asist Case activity (scheduling board) throughout the day, routinely checking all open calls and dispatching accordingly.
- Create and dispatch work order requests to technicians.
- Dispatch technicians to service calls.
- Responsible for billing and creating invoices.
- Manage work in process through Fusion.
- Responsible for overall customer communications regarding equipment and/or services provided.
- Responsible for dispatch scheduling with internal and external partners, ensuring all necessary information to complete the service is provided.
- Create and communicate detailed quotes for equipment and/or service requests as needed.
- Assist the Fleet Support Coordinator.
- Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repair.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicate with service advisor/dispatcher immediately on repair updates and/or delays.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
- Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Ensure that vehicle is kept clean. Notify service advisor/dispatcher immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Maintain and be accountable for all dealership‑owned tools and manuals. Return them to the proper place and in the same condition as when received.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right‑to‑Know, etc. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Operate all tools/equipment in a safe manner and report any safety issues immediately to management.
- Ten plus years of related experience and/or training.
- Master Technician Certifications in multiple areas.
- Cummins Engine Repair Certification required.
- Valid CDL License required.
- ASE Certification a plus.
- Basic computer skills.
- High School Diploma – College or Technical training preferred, but not required.
