As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with professionalism and calm communication. ** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.

+ Conduct armed patrols on foot and/or in a vehicle throughout stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, alarms, suspicious activity, and/or prohibited items, and request public agency support when needed.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity, monitor CCTV and/or access points as assigned, and assist with access control, screening, and credential checks when directed.

+ Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and statements, preserve observations and evidence as directed, and follow Allied Universal and site post orders for armed equipment handling, storage, and documentation.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.

+ Possess an armed guard card and/or license.

+ Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
