This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, and an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. You will support the public and staff with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.

+ Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle while carrying an authorized firearm in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or violations.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders, providing clear directions to the public, and assisting with crowd control as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for irregularities and reporting concerns.

+ Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate observations and/or hazards to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

* + An Armed Guard Card and/or license is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ A DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associates degree with 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate is required.

+ Baton Certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
