Position: Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Sector in Miami, FL
. You will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government and more. This is a Part-Time Security Officer role with a flexible schedule and opportunities to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively patrol government locations, deter security-related incidents, and provide excellent customer service. This is an armed and driving role where you will interact with the public and staff while maintaining a professional demeanor.

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to deter unauthorized entry and report suspicious activity.
  • Complete detailed daily activity and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security incidents and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED (required by the client).
  • Must be at least 21 years old; armed roles require 21 years or older.
  • Valid driver’s license as per Allied Universal policy.
  • Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Background check as a condition of employment in line with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Drug screen required where permitted by law.
  • Industry-specific security training required.
  • Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local regulations; may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
