The Work You Will DoDistrict Six – Transportation Support – Procurement Services – Contract Analyst II
This position will perform and conduct procurement actions related to professional services advertisements. In accordance with Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, professional services include work related to architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying and mapping.
The role involves auditing consultant submittals, preparing advertisements and supporting documentation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and scheduling and facilitating both public and exempt meetings. Because this position regularly leads public meetings, facilitates group discussions, and presents information to stakeholders, strong public‑speaking abilities and confidence in engaging diverse audiences are essential.
The selected candidate must be highly organized, able to manage multiple deadlines, and capable of communicating clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats. The role also includes hosting marketing presentations and delivering training sessions, requiring someone who is comfortable representing the District in a public‑facing capacity.

Where You Will WorkProcurement Services Office at District Six Headquarters, 1000 NW 111th Avenue, Miami, FL 33172.
Your Specific ResponsibilitiesPrepares project schedule and reviews procurement activities as necessary. Provides guidance to Department personnel concerning established procurement processes and policies. Prepares and posts advertisements and ensures compliance with applicable procedures. Coordinates with Project Manager to determine appropriate work types to be advertised based on the Scope of Services document. Keeps Technical Review Committee (TRC) apprised of schedule changes and the procedure as the acquisition progresses.
Reviews Letters of Response and Technical Proposals for responsiveness and verifies/confirms consultant meets minimum technical qualification requirements as specified in the advertisement and in Rule 14-75, F.A.C. Ensures Letters of Response and Technical Proposals are in compliance with Federal Brooks Act for professional services contract acquisitions. Prepares and issues the professional services Request for Proposal (RFP) to the shortlisted consultant firms as required.
