The Outside Sales Representative will own the sales cycle in the South Florida territory, building and managing relationships with key engineering/gpl, purchasing, quality, and senior leadership contacts.
Location:
Miami, FL (home‑based)
- Generate new business while strengthening long‑term relationships with existing customers in the territory.
- Engage multiple buying influencers—engineering, purchasing, quality, and senior leadership—to identify opportunities, propose solutions, and close business.
- Execute a strategic sales plan for your territory, developing key accounts and contributing to Electro‑Matic’s growth.
- Grow revenue by managing and expanding existing customer accounts.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities within the territory.
- Build trusted relationships at multiple levels, including engineering, purchasing, quality, and executive leadership.
- Travel throughout the territory to meet customers and prospects.
- Present product solutions through demonstrations, samples, and technical discussions.
- Prepare pricing proposals, quotes, and sales contracts.
- Forecast future business and maintain accurate pipeline and project data.
- Collaborate with Inside Sales and Customer Service teams to support customer needs.
- Resolve customer issues related to deliveries, orders, or project requirements.
- Represent Electro‑Matic at trade shows and industry events.
- Stay current on products, technologies, and industry trends through training and professional development.
- Manage travel and entertainment expenses within budget guidelines.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of outside sales experience in industrial automation or a related industry.
- Experience with Siemens products strongly preferred.
- Strong business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to learn and use a CRM application.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Travel will be required, including overnight stays.
