Helping independent hotels & resorts reduce OTA dependency | Co‑founder, CMO @ Epiic Hospitality
Epiic Hospitality is part of the Epiic family of companies, a digital agency group operating since 2012. Across our brands, we've served over 5,000 clients in verticals ranging from SaaS to e‑commerce to professional services. Our distributed team spans multiple time zones, and our production processes have been refined over more than a decade of client delivery.
Epiic Hospitality () is our specialized agency helping independent hotels, boutique properties, and experiential hospitality operators take control of their revenue. The problem we solve is simple but painful: most independent properties pay 15 to 25% in OTA commissions on the majority of their bookings while investing almost nothing in their own marketing. They're renting their guests from Booking and Expedia instead of owning those relationships.
We fix that. Through direct booking optimization, technology integration, and revenue management strategy, we shift bookings from third‑party channels to owned channels. Our clients save $60K to $150K+ annually in commissions while building guest databases they actually control.
The Miami office is new. The company is not. You’ll have the energy of a startup with the stability of an established operation, complete production team, and proven delivery model behind you.
The OpportunityWe’re hiring our founding Business Development Manager to build the sales function alongside our founder. This is not a role where you inherit accounts and maintain them. This is a role where you create something.
You’ll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to signed contract, then hand off to our Account Management team for delivery. No juggling client production work. No getting pulled into servicing. Your job is to close new business, and you’ll be supported by a team that knows how to deliver once you do.
This role has a clear path to leadership. As we grow the sales team, you’ll have the opportunity to grow into a team lead or Head of Business Development position, shaping strategy and mentoring new hires.
What You’ll Do- Source and close new business through outbound prospecting.
- Build your own pipeline through outbound outreach: cold email, Linked In, networking, and industry events. This is a hunting role with no inbound leads to start.
- Identify and qualify independent hotels ($2M to $10M revenue) and boutique hospitality properties.
- Run discovery calls and marketing audits that quantify the true cost of OTA dependency.
- Build proposals, present solutions, and close deals averaging $50K to $100K in annual contract value.
- Hand off closed clients to Account Management with clean documentation and warm introductions.
- Collaborate daily with the founder to refine positioning, targeting, and go‑to‑market strategy.
- Represent Epiic Hospitality at industry conferences and client meetings (10‑15% travel).
- New business revenue closed.
- Pipeline generation and deal velocity.
- Conversion rate from audit to signed contract.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of B2B sales experience with documented success hitting or exceeding quota.
- Background in one of these areas:
- Hospitality technology or SaaS (PMS, revenue management, booking engines, channel managers).
- Marketing or digital agency sales (retainer‑based services, not one‑off projects).
- Experience selling to owner‑operators, general managers, or marketing directors at independent properties is a strong plus.
Skills and Attributes
- Comfortable building pipeline from scratch without relying on inbound leads.
- Clear, confident communicator on video calls, in person, and in writing.
- Organized and disciplined with CRM documentation and follow‑up cadence.
- Hungry to build something meaningful, not just collect a paycheck.
- Excited by the opportunity to grow into a leadership role.
- Based in Miami with ability to work from our office regularly (up to 6 work‑from‑home days per month).
- Able to travel occasionally for conferences and key client meetings (10‑15%).
Compensation
- OTE: $95,000 to $115,000 (competitive base salary plus uncapped commission).
- Commission accelerators when you exceed quota.
- Clear path to leadership as the team grows.
- Health insurance included (eligible after 90‑day probation period).
- Dental and vision insurance (eligible after 90‑day probation period).
- 15 days paid time off.
- 12 paid holidays.
- Hybrid work model with flexibility built in.
Culture
- Collaborative, creative work environment.
- Direct access to leadership and real input on company direction.
- Autonomy to own your process and results.
