Sales Associate
The Sales Associate is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience. The Sales Associate will also handle a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team (e.g., housekeeping duties, visual presentation standards, etc).
Position OverviewGreeting Customers:
Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting.
First Impressions:
Create a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.
Store Standards:
Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment by adhering to store standards and cleanliness.
Product Information:
Provide customers with current relevant information about the product.
Fitting Room Service:
Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and attempt to add on to the sale.
Cash Wrap Efficiency:
Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer Gift Cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.
Customer Appreciation:
Sincerely thank all customers for shopping at GUESS as they exit the store.
Task Completion:
Satisfactorily complete all duties as assigned by management.
Punctuality:
Be punctual and adhere to the designated work schedule.
Teamwork:
Be flexible and work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
Policy Adherence:
Follow GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%.
Housekeeping:
Perform housekeeping duties as required.
Sales Goals:
Meet or exceed the Sales per Hour (SPH) result as assigned by management.
Meetings and Functions:
Participate in and attend all store meetings and other related functions.
Positive Attitude:
Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.
Inventory Participation:
Participate in all inventories.
Additional Duties:
Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.
Customer Service
Skills:
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Retail
Experience:
Previous retail experience preferred.
Team Player:
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Flexible
Schedule:
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.
