Position Summary

Restaurant Manager – Coconut Grove – Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. This role is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Managers may be asked to work up to 30 miles from the restaurant location.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate all kitchen issues with management throughout the day.
  • Maintain the manager’s daily log with accurate English notes.
  • Attend weekly manager meetings and monthly staff meetings.
  • Read and act on weekly memos.
  • Complete weekly and monthly employee evaluations.
  • Communicate shift completion details to all relevant parties.
  • Provide accurate, honest reports of all events, both positive and negative.
  • Adhere to all policies, rules, and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings.
  • Participate in quarterly supervisory meetings.
  • Order and formulate pars efficiently.
  • Ensure proper health code standards are followed.
  • Conduct interviews in a timely fashion following Flanigan’s always hiring policy.
  • Issue written evaluations for performance, both positive and negative.
  • Maintain basic computer skills for daily operations.
  • Demonstrate an ownership mentality with flexibility for a 365‑day schedule.
  • Be willing to transfer to a different geographical location if needed.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Current food management certification.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English).
  • Basic math skills, including counting currency and making change.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, or crawl for up to 4 hours during a shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Coordination required to operate kitchen equipment.
  • Adherence to Flanigan’s dress and grooming policies.
  • Comfortable working a five‑day week with two consecutive days off, including nights and weekends.
  • Full‑time commitment of 50–55 hours per week (maximum).
Benefits & Compensation
  • Competitive starting salary ranging from $63,000 to $98,000.

  • 401(k) plan with immediate eligibility for employees 21 or over.
  • Paid vacation: one week after the first year, two weeks after two years, three weeks after ten years, with vacations scheduled between April and November.
