Senior Research Associate II

• Conduct eDNA field collection and perform eDNA extractions
• Execute quantitative and digital PCR, metabarcoding, and next-generation library preparation
• Analyze genomic data and prepare reports and/or peer-reviewed manuscripts
• Maintain equipment and manage genomic data, metadata, and pipelines
• Perform database entry and archiving related to research activities

• Master’s degree or higher in marine biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field
• At least 1 year of relevant work‑related experience demonstrating contributions to research dissemination
• Fieldwork and laboratory experience, including eDNA collection and genomic data analysis
• Ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

• Experience in bioinformatics and data management within a research context
• Familiarity with marine mammal conservation efforts and associated research methodologies
• Proven track record of publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals
