Position: Small Animal Associate Veterinarian Job, Miami, Florida, USA
Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join a mobile-clinic practice serving Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The role offers a chance to deliver high-quality, personalized pet care directly in clients' homes, using a fully equipped mobile veterinary unit. The practice emphasises convenience, reduced stress for pets, and strong client relationships, offering a unique opportunity to practise full general medicine and preventive care in a non-traditional clinic setting.

You'll be working with a team committed to gentle, attentive, and empathetic care - combining medical expertise with client comfort. The ideal candidate will appreciate a flexible schedule and the mobile-clinic model's challenges and rewards. The mobile setup includes in-house lab diagnostics, imaging, and a broad range of general practice services, allowing you to deliver comprehensive care without compromising on standards.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing wellness exams, vaccinations (core and non-core), and preventive care for pet patients
  • Managing sick-case diagnostics and treatment - including blood work, lab tests, and basic imaging
  • Performing routine soft-tissue procedures and minor surgery / dental work as needed (within mobile-clinic limitations)
  • Delivering clear, empathetic communication to pet owners; advising on preventative health, nutrition, and care plans
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with medical and ethical standards
  • Collaborating with support staff to coordinate home-visit logistics, scheduling, and follow-up care
Qualifications Needed:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree required
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in the State of Florida
  • Comfortable providing general small-animal medicine and preventive care in a mobile/varying environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
  • Flexibility and adaptability - ready for variable schedules and house-call settings
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to patient comfort and quality care
Package:
  • Competitive base salary with scope for bonuses based on production or case volume
  • Fully equipped mobile-clinic tools: in-house lab diagnostics, imaging, and treatment facilities
  • Flexible scheduling and mobile-practice work-life balance
  • Supportive, collaborative team culture and mentorship from experienced mobile-clinic veterinarians
  • Paid professional dues and licensing assistance
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional growth
  • Pet-owner service discounts for staff; supportive client-friendly brand reputation
  • Autonomy in clinical decision-making and practice style
  • Potential for long-term growth within a niche mobile-vet network
