The Nurse Intern performs the following basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. Must maintain the flexibility necessary for rapidly changing assignments. Performs the functions of a Nurse Intern in carrying out all assignments given by the registered nurse with a minimum of continuous supervision. Is accountable to the nurses for all patient care he/she gives during a shift.

Is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care and for promoting teamwork among co-workers. Estimated pay range for this position is $23.50 / hour depending on shift as applicable.

• High School Diploma or GED

• Basic Life Support.

• Actively enrolled in a nursing program (ADN or BSN), successful completion of medical surgical nursing course and clinical;
  Upon graduation of nursing program, must successfully pass the NCLEX within 90 days.
• Maximum length of time in role is 10 months.

Currently enrolled in a nursing program, in good standing, completed at least one clinical medical surgical rotation, and within 10 months of completing a nursing degree program (BSN or ADN).
