Provides primary health care as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to patients seeking care at Student Health Clinics by treatment and management of acute and chronic diseases and promoting healthy lifestyles.

• Provides direct primary health care services to students of the university, including management of acute and chronic health problems in accordance with medical and nursing protocols in a holistic and comprehensive manner. Provides basic gynecological, contraceptive services, and speculum examinations.
• Charts thorough and accurate information in the electronic health record in a timely manner. Updates patient records and checks records for accuracy at each patient appointment.
• Diagnoses and treats diseases; orders and interprets diagnostic and laboratory tests including Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)-waived in-house laboratory tests. Prescribes appropriate medications. Provides follow‑up and education for prevention. Refers patients to appropriate medical specialists or community agencies. Coordinates follow‑up care and evaluation.
• Provides patient education to promote health and prevent illness.
• Serves on a Student Health Services and/or university committee to influence health and safety policies, programming and education. Participates in wellness promotion activities for the university community.
• Drives to and from Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) and Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC) as needed within their work schedule.
• Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, public health emergencies, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.

• Master's of Science in Nursing and three (3) years of nursing experience.
