This is a full-time, on-site Nurse Manager role for Preop and PACU, based in Miami, FL. The Nurse Manager will oversee daily operations of the Preop and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), ensuring high standards of patient care and staff performance. Responsibilities include managing patient flow, supervising nursing staff, developing and implementing care protocols, monitoring patient outcomes, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Additional responsibilities cover staff onboarding, training, and performance evaluations as well as collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient experiences and outcomes.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, including staff supervision, mentorship, and conflict resolution.
- Strong clinical expertise in preoperative care, PACU operations, and peri-anesthesia nursing best practices.
- Competency in patient care planning, assessment, and post-anesthesia evaluation.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.
- Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with healthcare technologies and electronic medical record systems.
- Current RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications; BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Three or more years of prior experience in a leadership position within perioperative services is highly desirable.
