Nursing Careers in the Navy- Nurse Anesthetists:
Administer general and regional anesthesia, monitor patients, and assist in training medical personnel. - Primary Care Nurse Practitioners:
Provide comprehensive health care for service members and their families. - Medical-Surgical Nurses:
Provide direct nursing care of patients and assume charge nurse responsibilities. - Perioperative Nurses:
Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of surgical patients. - Critical Care Nurses:
Provide highly skilled nursing care to critical patients, including en route care. - Mental Health Nurses & Nurse Practitioners:
Provide direct mental health services and lead care teams. - Military-Specific Specializations:
Education and training, manpower systems analysis, and nursing research.

Qualifications and Requirements- U.S. citizen, 18–41 years old.
- Licensed and practicing nurse in the U.S. (new graduates must obtain a license within one year of Active Duty).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE-accredited program.
Part‑time opportunities are available through the Navy Reserve.
