Position: Nurse Manager

Location: Miami, FL

Schedule: Fulltime, Monday - Friday

Sign on bonus: $15,000

Responsibilities
  • Direct assigned nursing personnel and serve as a resource and consultant to ensure the plan of care for the patient population.
  • Possess a specialized knowledge base and skills to facilitate patient treatment and staff development.
  • Provide and oversee patient care, implementing hospital and department philosophy and objectives.
  • Provide leadership during times of crisis to assure continuity of care and a productive work environment.
  • Maintain approved standards of patient care, collaborating with appropriate persons for continuity of care under guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer. Communicate clinical issues to the CNO.
  • Promote clinical development, competency and expertise in staff to maximize patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate performance of professional and non-licensed nursing personnel; assist in interviewing prospective staff.
  • Ensure all staff document care provided, patient family teaching and discharge planning for assigned patients.
  • Contribute to smooth functioning of the unit by providing direction to staff, other departments, and families as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid State RN License required.
  • Three to five years experience including supervisory experience required.
  • BSN or enrollment in BSN program required.
  • Certified BLS before hire date required.
  • Certified ACLS or completion within first 6 months of employment required.
Preferred Experience
  • CRRN preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
