Shift: Full Time, Nights (7 pm – 7:30 am)

The Associate Nurse Manager reports to the Nurse Manager and oversees daily operations of the assigned shift, ensuring quality, safe nursing care and resource management. The ANM assists the Nurse Manager with strategic operations, staff meetings, policy compliance, fiscal responsibility, and stakeholder engagement.

• Partner with Nurse Manager and leadership to understand and support Jackson Health System’s mission, vision, values and strategic initiatives.
• Improve employee engagement, hold staff accountable, meet one‑on‑ones, and acknowledge high performance.
• Lead active huddles, work with unions, and promote CARE values.
• Support staff growth, succession planning, just culture, and corrective actions.
• Execute the nursing process, coordinate patient care, provide education, manage handoffs and report significant findings.
• Provide 24/7 responsibility in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Meet staffing and documentation requirements, report issues promptly, and facilitate staff orientation.
• Collaborate with Nurse Manager and Director on short and long‑term goals, provider relations, and timely discharges.
• Participate in budget planning, monitor monthly budget, develop cost‑management strategies, and approve time cards.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and unit‑specific procedures.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

• Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.
• Management experience is strongly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.

• Valid Florida RN license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and any applicable life‑support certification, currently valid.
• Maintain all unit‑specific and organizational skills, certifications, and competencies.
