Collins Aerospace is expanding its Business and First-Class seating programs and seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing readiness, process development, and program execution across several global airline customers. This onsite role may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do- Support new and ramping Business/First-Class seating programs by preparing the manufacturing facility for increased production volumes
- Perform make-versus-buy analyses to support program and production strategy decisions
- Develop and structure Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOMs) and routings based on engineering data and change notices
- Create and maintain clear, effective work instructions to support safe, efficient, and repeatable builds
- Design or support the development of jigs, fixtures, tooling, and parts presentation strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve flow
- Conduct routine engineering analyses and process studies related to new methods, materials or standards
- Prepare process specifications, production aids, factory work standards, and MRP support studies as required
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including engineering, supply chain, quality, and operations
- Perform other related manufacturing engineering duties as needed to support program success
- Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field
- Understanding of lean manufacturing
- Experience supporting manufacturing projects
- Hands‑on experience designing jigs and/or fixtures to aid manufacturing processes
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing designs
- Experience with SAP is a significant plus
- Experience with Siemens NX or a similar CAD/modeling tool
- Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred, but not required

Salary Range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD
