Sheeter Helper – 2nd Shift – Bilingual Preferred
This 2nd shift opening will work from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Ability to speak Spanish is a definite plus.
A Sheeter Helper assists with the operation and maintenance of a sheeter machine, which cuts large rolls of paper into sheets of specific sizes for printing, packaging, and other applications.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in loading large rolls of paper onto the sheeter and unloading the cut sheets.
- Help set up the sheeter machine, ensuring it is correctly calibrated and operating smoothly, including adjusting settings for different paper sizes and thicknesses.
- Monitor output to ensure sheets meet quality standards, inspecting for defects, measuring dimensions, and ensuring consistent cuts.
- Assist with routine maintenance of the sheeter machine and help troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment, including proper handling of materials and machinery.
- Maintain records of production runs, including the amount of paper processed, any issues encountered, and maintenance performed.
- Work closely with other team members, including machine operators and supervisors, to ensure efficient production flow and promptly address any problems.
- Two years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse (a plus, but not required).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, shifting between a variety of tasks as necessary.
- Resourceful problem‑solver with proven ability to bring quick resolution to challenging situations that result in continuous improvement.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working on a team – collaborating and communicating with others.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Forklift Operation Certification is a plus.
