Job Overview
Fed Ex Logistics provides freight forwarding, as well as import and export services that allow companies to reach markets throughout the world. They help customers of all sizes solve the intricacies of shipping goods globally by providing comprehensive international ocean and air freight forwarding, surface transportation and distribution, customs brokerage, trade and customs advisory services, and advanced e-commerce and trade facilitation solutions.
Responsibilities- To complete and assign work‑specific activities to team members and provide direction, guidance, and training for completion. Resolve complex work‑related issues by establishing strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ensure team members complete all work‑related activities and assignments on time and communicate any problems to the manager.
- Maintain outstanding customer service while demonstrating sound communication skills. Answer questions on work‑related issues, resolve routine and complex issues relating to day‑to‑day team activities, and provide guidance and training on new activities.
- Identify and research accounts payable and receivable billing issues; resolve complex discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly service fee invoices and Cost Plus 1% revenue invoices, checking for accuracy and ensuring timely creation. Verify the accuracy of all received documentation.
- Participate in weekly/monthly meetings with FXS Revenue Services to resolve complex billing discrepancies and support the Company Invoicing Manager.
- Apply knowledge of daily work schedules and procedures; complete reports and daily tasks as needed.
- Work with management to anticipate and identify any existing problems affecting individual or team productivity/performance, and recommend continuous constructive activities that would enhance production and results.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of business experience, including 6 months in a brokerage industry and/or customs brokerage environment.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ability to train and motivate team members to ensure a high optimum flow of work productivity.
