Senior Associate, PEPI – Merger Integration & Carve‑Outs
Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice serves upper‑middle‑market and large‑cap private equity firms. A&M’s Merger Integration & Carve‑Outs (MI&C) service line brings a disciplined, end‑to‑end approach to value capture for corporate and equity buyers across the full deal lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues and developing recommendations within the overall engagement context.
- Assist with selected work streams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office (IMO) – e.g., Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap, Communications, Organizational Design.
- Plan, execute, and drive performance improvement in Day 1 and Day 100 initiatives: strategic planning, operational optimization/consolidation, back‑office consolidation, supply chain, IT/reporting integration, customer and channel management.
- Actively drive performance improvement assessments across the enterprise and participate in the implementation of recommendations.
- Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust integration strategies or personnel as required.
- 4–6+ years of professional consulting experience, specializing in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
- Experience in integration planning and divestitures a plus, but not required.
- Deep functional expertise in at least one of the following areas:
- Finance & Accounting operations
- Human Resources / Organizational design
- Role and Job Analysis
- Leadership and stakeholder involvement
- Communications planning and management
- Knowledge management and transfer
- Program management and leadership experience
- MBA preferred
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Initiative and drive
- Critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to travel at least 75% of time
- Competitive salary range: $100,000 – $170,000 annually (dependent on experience and geography).
