Maintenance Custodian

SUMMARY:

Provide a safe and clean living facility. For all locations as needed - Emergency after hours work as needed - Shift/schedule may change as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Clean and disinfects restrooms, dormitories and common areas daily

* Maintain all floors by stripping, polishing and waxing periodically. Clean all carpets in the facility

* Painting and repairing around the facility

* Report needed repairs to supervisor

* Distribute housekeeping supplies and proper dilutions of supplies.

* Supervise the proper disposal of garbage

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum of one (1) year experience in general maintenance and/or housekeeping.

* G.E.D or High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

* Knowledge of computer, Outlook, MS Word, Excel preferred, and paper work as needed.

* Excellent conflict resolution skills.

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Experience working with vulnerable populations.

* Ability to be professional, flexible, respectful, and calm.

* Ability to work well with others.

* Ability to lead by example.

* Must have a Florida State Driver's License with "safe driver" classification.

* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

* Computer Literate.

* Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or English and Creole preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Frequently required to stand.

* Frequently required to walk.

* Frequently required to sit.

* Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.

* Frequently required to, bend, stoop, or kneel.

* Continually required to talk or hear.

* Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds.

* Frequently required to operate a motor vehicle.
