Maintenance / PSA Floater
Reports To:
Assistant Manager of Operations, Maintenance Department.
Position Summary:
The Floater will cover vacation hours for Maintenance and PSA personnel and will be trained in both custodial and parking equipment support. The role requires moderate physical effort, occasional lifting and working in various weather conditions.
- Cover vacation hours for Maintenance and PSA personnel.
- Use hand tools for repairs and operate cleaning equipment.
- Perform daily rounds in all garages and lots, collecting used tickets and refilling equipment.
- Replenish and close Pay On Foot stations and perform testing and troubleshooting of parking equipment.
- Fix and put back arm gates and ensure parking equipment operates in harmony with overall operations.
- Set up barricades and parking places as necessary.
- Prepare and submit daily reports electronically to supervisors.
- Perform parking attendant and customer service monitor duties when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
- Patrol assigned facilities to assure safety of vehicles, direct traffic, and assist the public with directions and information.
- Correct hazardous conditions and comply with all safety standards, rules and regulations.
- Ability to use hand tools for repairs; knowledge of cleaning equipment operation.
- Lift and move weights between 25–50 pounds; climb ladders; work in cramped positions.
- Read, understand, and follow an operations manual.
- Work a flexible schedule as demanded by business needs.
- Valid driver’s license to operate golf cars.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; excellent customer service skills.
- General computer skills and ability to work with command‑center programs.
- Basic record keeping and reporting.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.
High school education or equivalent; reading, writing, basic arithmetic, and ability to follow instructions.
ExperienceMinimum of six (6) months of related experience.
Judgment and Decision-MakingRestricted scope of duties; some analysis of facts for routine problems; referral to supervisor for questionable decisions.
