Job Summary

Due to continued growth, Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. – a multi‑office national firm –Proper field has an immediate opening for a full‑time Paralegal in our Miami, FL office. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Organizes and analyzes documentary evidence, including medical records, reports, depositions, discovery, investigative and other documents, and summarizes findings.
• Under attorney direction drafts and prepares correspondence and other written documents such as responses, subpoenas, reports, filings, pleadings, answers, motions Valentin, opinions, position papers, letters, etc., as necessary.
• Prepares and handles tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other requests for information.
• Conducts research on legal issues and investigates witnesses and experts, including social media and internet research.
• Communicates with clients, witnesses, and experts.
• Monitors files and escalates issues requiring attorney involvement, handling highly sensitive materials related to the case in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 4+ years of paralegal experience assisting attorneys with insurance defense litigation matters (insurance remedy, personal injury, and/or general litigation).
• Experience handling subpoenas and responding to discovery.
• Advanced computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong critical‑thinking, communication, and organizational skills; decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent; paralegal certificate is an advantage.

This is a mostly sedentary position that requires sitting for extended periods sunscreen and occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting of supplies and materials up to 20 pounds. Regular visual, verbal, and auditory tasks are required.

The job is performed in an indoor office environment with varying noise levels and temperatures. Occasional interruptions may occur.
