A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Defense Litigation Attorney in Miami, Florida. This position involves defending individuals, insurers, and corporate clients in personal injury and general liability cases. The role offers direct litigation responsibility, courtroom exposure, and opportunities to enhance defense strategy and trial skills in a dynamic legal setting.
Duties- Defend clients in personal injury and general liability litigation matters
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Conduct legal research and prepare litigation memoranda
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and mediations
- Assist with trial preparation and case strategy development
- Manage assigned caseloads and meet court-imposed deadlines
- Communicate with clients, insurers, experts, and opposing counsel
- Maintain accurate and organized case documentation
- Approximately 3 years of experience in personal injury defense
- Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure and litigation practices
- Experience handling discovery and motion practice
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- High level of attention to detail and analytical ability
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the State Bar of Florida
- Admission to Florida federal courts is preferred but not required
- Personal injury and general liability defense
- Legal research and persuasive writing
