Performs complex technical and analytical work requiring advanced-level proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), and related public safety technologies; responsible for spatial data management, system integration, data analysis, and the maintenance and enhancement of geospatial and CAD datasets to support operational, emergency response, and strategic decision‑making. Interprets and analyzes documents from a variety of sources; conducts visual verification using maps and computer-based records;
updates and maintains multiple databases to ensure accuracy and data integrity; and serves as a liaison between vendors, telecommunications providers, Local, County, and State agencies to support coordinated operations and information exchange.
The position requires creative, analytical, and original thinking, and work is performed under the general direction of senior professionals with considerable latitude for independent and team initiative, judgment, and discretion. This role involves collaborating with customers and stakeholders to assess and support hardware and software needs, maintain reliable system operations, and implement solutions that align with operational and organizational objectives.

MUST PASS AND MAINTAIN A LEVEL 2 CJIS BACKGROUND.
What Will You Do- Demonstrate advanced-level job knowledge, quality, dependability, judgment, communications and initiative for multiple mission‑critical datasets and GIS applications used by emergency service personnel to validate, dispatch, and respond to;
- Assist in managing addresses, road name approval processes, and updates in related datasets.
- Maintain, edit, and update databases related to location validation, response planning, and 911 call routing for Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and emergency responders.
- Contribute to project plans/schedules, and coordinate requirements, tasks, work assignments, resources and critical milestones, with a demonstrated ability to focus on priority tasks.
- Identify and analyze major problems; distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical decisions; provide solutions to problems.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to various audiences using clear, concise and effective communication.
- Take ownership of assignments and cross‑sectional problems and work with a team to resolve, with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to peers, management and customers at various levels of the organization.

Degree
:
Information technology, computer science, computer technology, or related field
- At least 6 years of experience as described above.
- Associate degree as described above and at least 4 years of experience as described above.
- Bachelor’s degree as described above and at least 2 years of experience as described above.
- Master’s degree as described above and some experience as described above.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Knowledge of Police, Fire, or Emergency Medical Services (EMS) operations.
- Experience with property annexations, boundary changes, and/or address management.
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Desktop (ArcGIS Pro).
- Knowledge of Next Generation 911 (NG911).
- Highly proficient in the use of computerized office equipment and programs (e.g., Office 365 to include Access or other database program, MS Windows, Adobe products).
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Arcade, Python, or any program languages.
