You AreThe Service Now UI/UX Designer is responsible for designing intuitive, user-centered experiences across the Service Now platform. This role partners closely with platform architects, developers, and process owners to translate business requirements into seamless, scalable, and accessible user experiences that drive adoption and efficiency.
The WorkDesign end-to-end user experiences for Service Now applications, portals, and workflows, including Now Experience UI Framework, Service Portal, and Workspace experiences.
Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design specifications aligned with Service Now UI standards and best practices.
Apply human-centered design principles to improve usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction.
Collaborate with Platform Architects, Developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with platform capabilities.
Leverage UI Builder and UX Framework components to create consistent, reusable design patterns.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to validate and refine designs.
Ensure adherence to Service Now branding, design system standards, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
Support continuous improvement by identifying UX pain points and recommending enhancements.
Contribute to and maintain UX documentation, design libraries, and style guides.
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here’s what you needMinimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience designing within the Service Now platform.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with any of the following:
Now Experience UI Framework
UI Builder
Service Portal
Work spaces (e.g., Agent Workspace, CSM Workspace)
Minimum of 10 years of experience with UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Professional Skills Requirement
Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
Experience collaborating with technical teams and translating requirements into actionable designs.
Ability to balance user needs with platform constraints and technical feasibility.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience designing for Service Now modules such as ITSM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, or ITAM.
Familiarity with Agile / SAFe delivery models.
Service Now UX, CSA, or CAD certification(s).
Experience designing enterprise or B2B SaaS applications.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
