About Our Client
Our client designs app-connected fragrance products that transform everyday spaces into immersive scent experiences. From smart diffusers and fragrance oils to candles and mists, their products merge technology and aesthetics to help people personalize their environments. They value innovation, simplicity, and sensory delight - and they're growing fast.
The Role
We're seeking a hands-on, creative Industrial Designer / Product Tester to shape the look, feel, and performance of our client's next-generation scenting products. This unique hybrid role blends industrial design with real-world product testing
, giving you the opportunity to both create and validate designs.
You'll work on everything from concept sketches and CAD models to prototyping, testing, and refining - ensuring products are visually compelling, functionally sound, and deliver a seamless user experience with their connected app.
What You'll Do
Industrial Design
- Develop visually appealing, ergonomic product designs informed by market research and internal concepts
- Create CAD models and technical drawings using tools like Shapr3D, Fusion 360, Rhino, or Solid Works
- Partner with engineering and sourcing teams to ensure manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and alignment with brand aesthetics
- Participate in hands-on prototyping and assist in preparing presentation materials
- Create and execute structured testing protocols for scent delivery devices
- Conduct lab and real-world ("in-use") testing for usability, durability, and connectivity performance
- Record and analyze results in tools like Notion and Google Sheets, highlighting findings and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with engineering and software teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
What You Bring
- 1-3 years in industrial design, product testing, or related field (internships and personal projects welcome)
- Proficiency in at least one CAD program (Shapr3D, Rhino, Fusion 360, or Solid Works)
- Understanding of user-centered design and ergonomics
- Comfort with hands-on testing and clear, detailed documentation
- Curiosity and tech-savviness - especially with connected devices and mobile apps
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, foam models, etc.)
- Familiarity with BLE or Wi-Fi-enabled consumer products
- Cross-functional team experience (design + engineering + software)
Perks
- Type: Full-time, Day Shift
- Compensation: $25 to $30 per hour + OT as needed
- PTO (Holidays, Vacation and more)
- Location: On-site in Doral, FL 33122 (must be able to commute or relocate before starting)
- Work Environment: Onsite, Collaborative, creative, and fast-paced
