Engineer, Systems Engineer

Overview

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Miami, FL
. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong Dev Ops/SRE experience and advanced skills in AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD deployment.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $60/hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Ensure application availability to SLOs through proactive monitoring (Dynatrace/Splunk/Mouseflow), alerting, and synthetic checks.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and deployment workflows using Dev Ops tooling (CI/CD with Octopus/Azure, Ansible/scripting).
• Own production incident response—troubleshoot multi-threaded, performance‑intensive .NET applications; debug code; remediate post‑release issues.
• Manage containerized workloads—build, deploy, and operate services on AWS with Kubernetes/Docker; optimize orchestration and scaling.
• Maintain robust build/release pipelines—leverage Git/TFS for source control and enable continuous integration and delivery for reliable releases.
• Administer and optimize data layers—work with Oracle and SQL Server for performance, reliability, and operational readiness across environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, and .NET-based application environments.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (Octopus/Azure).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues, automate workflows, and maintain high application availability in performance‑intensive systems.

Pay: $45.00 to $60.00 per hour
