IT Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect designs and guides delivery of technology solutions for specific domains or line of business. The role translates business requirements into secure, compliant, scalable architectures, leads solution design across cross-functional teams, and ensures implementations align with enterprise standards and governance set by the Enterprise Architecture function.

• Engage regularly with domain business stakeholders to understand evolving goals, priorities, and constraints
• Ensure domain initiatives align with enterprise architecture standards, technology roadmap direction, and the regulatory landscape
• Support prioritization and sequencing domain work by assessing value, risk, and dependencies (e.g., Value Stream Mapping)
• Architect end-to-end solutions for the assigned domain that are secure, compliant, scalable, and supportable
• Guide delivery teams through design and implementation, ensuring alignment to approved architecture and quality standards
• Act as the technical lead for assigned initiatives, coordinating dependencies with shared technology teams (security, data, infrastructure, operations)

• Collaborate with business analysts to gather, refine, and document clear functional and non-functional requirements
• Translate business needs into actionable technical specifications, integration requirements, and acceptance criteria
• Proactively identify solution-level risks across technical, compliance, vendor, and operational domains
• Develop mitigation and contingency considerations for domain solutions (resilience, supportability, recovery)
• Ensure solutions pass required governance checkpoints (architecture review, security review, SDLC, change control) and adhere to standards
• Maintain open communication with stakeholders across the domain and enabling technology teams
• Facilitate feedback loops to ensure delivered solutions meet evolving needs without compromising controls or standards
• Lead cross-functional execution through influence, clarity, and accountability, escalating architectural exceptions or material risks when needed

This role ensures that domain solutions deliver measurable business value while remaining aligned with enterprise architecture direction and governance. By combining architectural rigor with delivery leadership, the Solution Architect reduces rework, strengthens compliance and resilience, improves production stability, and accelerates scalable growth.
