Position Title:
Service Now Developer (TS/SCI Cleared)
We are seeking an experienced Service Now Developer to support mission-critical systems in a secure DoD/federal environment. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and strong hands-on experience developing, configuring, and enhancing Service Now solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong scripting skills, and experience working in enterprise-scale or government environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, configure, and maintain Service Now applications and platform components
- Customize Service Now modules including (but not limited to): ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Portal, and Workflow/Flow Designer
- Develop and maintain scripts using JavaScript, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, and UI Actions
- Build and manage integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and MID Servers
- Support Service Now upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements
- Collaborate with system owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure solutions align with DoD and federal security, compliance, and governance standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues while ensuring system performance and reliability
- Document technical designs, configurations, and operational procedures
- Active TS/SCI Clearance (required)
- 4+ years of relevant Service Now development experience
- Demonstrated experience developing Service Now solutions in DoD, federal, or large enterprise environments
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Service Now scripting
- Hands-on experience with Service Now configuration, customization, and platform architecture
- Experience supporting Service Now in a secure or regulated environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Additional Service Now certifications (CAD, CIS, etc.)
- Experience with ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, or custom application development
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Experience integrating Service Now with external enterprise systems
- Work performed in a secure, cleared environment
- Onsite or hybrid work may be required based on program needs
