Manager, Enterprise Systems Engineering - Florida

Overview

Pure Storage is looking for a dynamic Systems Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a high-performing team in our Enterprise organization. This role guides pre-sales Systems Engineers who help some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies modernize their data strategies with all-flash storage, cloud, and AI-driven data solutions. The position emphasizes coaching technical talent, elevating customer outcomes, and shaping the future of data-driven enterprises.

• Demonstrate effective people development in a rapidly evolving technical space
• Act as an employee advocate focused on team and people development with high emotional intelligence
• Drive operational excellence; support creation and validation of technical demand
• Lead by example, living the Pure Values:

• Develop an exhaustive understanding of what drives a customer’s business and their decision making

• Refine sales strategy and tactics, taking ownership of technical responsibilities
• Delight customers and teammates with technical leadership and domain expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in DAS, NAS, and SAN spaces
• Enable the team to capture requirements and translate Customer’s business needs into innovative solutions
• Author responses to RFIs & RFPs when needed
• Seek out and spur opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing/validation
• Promote mutual roadmap and planning exchanges
• Stay aligned with market trends and competitive landscape to promote thought leadership

• 5+ years of management experience leading high-performing Sales Engineers in Enterprise Accounts
• 10+ years supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to large accounts and data centers
• Deep understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
• Experience setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and convert them into clients
• Knowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)
• Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architectures, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
• Knowledge of VMware, LAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills

• Base salary range: $156,100 - $234,500 USD
• This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity
