• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience as a software engineer, machine learning engineer, solutions or customer engineer working on user‑facing systems.
• Experience in building and shipping AI/ML applications or prototypes.
• Experience with Python and SQL.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience building or prototyping Large Language Model (LLM)-powered applications and workflows using techniques like prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), vector embeddings, and function calling.
• Experience with agentic AI principles and experience building AI agents including emerging frameworks like Agent Development Kit (ADK), A2A, MCP, etc.
• Knowledge of building applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with Vertex AI (including Gemini models).
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

As an AI Architect on the Go‑To‑Market (GTM) Applied AI team, you will be at the nexus of innovation and execution, building the intelligent systems that will power the future of Google Cloud’s commercial engine. You will partner closely with GTM teams to understand their most pressing challenges, then design, prototype, and ship novel AI‑powered solutions that generate business value.

This role is for the direct builder who grows on moving quickly from concept to reality. You will operate like a founder, taking ownership of projects from 0 to 1 and translating business needs into applications. Your work will directly shape how the sales and operations teams leverage AI, freeing them to focus on what they do best: serving the customers.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $147,000‑$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
