Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Network & Systems Administrator to support the day-to-day operation of our Cisco Meraki network infrastructure and Microsoft-based systems environment.
This role focuses on maintaining reliable network connectivity, supporting Microsoft server services, assisting users with infrastructure-related issues, and helping ensure systems operate smoothly across multiple locations. Cybersecurity monitoring and strategy are managed by a third-party provider; this role assists with implementation and coordination as needed.
This is a mid-level, operational role ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with infrastructure and solving practical problems in a business environment.
Key Responsibilities Network Administration- Support and maintain Cisco Meraki equipment (MX, MS, MR).
- Administer VLANs, DHCP, DNS dependencies, VPN connections, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network health using dashboards and alerts; troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Assist with ISP coordination and WAN connectivity troubleshooting.
- Maintain basic network documentation (diagrams, device inventory, IP addressing).
- Support Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint).
- Perform routine system maintenance including patching, updates, and backup verification.
- Support virtualization (VMware) for existing server workloads.
- Provide support for domain-joined endpoints and infrastructure-related issues.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for network and server-related incidents.
- Install and configure switches, access points, servers, and workstations as needed.
- Document support activity and maintain accurate system records.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacement and ISP-related issues.
- Participate in occasional after-hours maintenance windows when required.
- Apply firewall rule updates and configuration changes as directed.
- Implement remediation actions recommended by the third-party security provider.
- Provide logs or documentation for security reviews when requested.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting business network and server environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki (MX/MS/MR) preferred.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and VPN concepts.
- Experience supporting Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with VMware or similar virtualization platform.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working onsite and interacting with end users.
- Power Shell experience is a plus.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is helpful but not required.
- Stable network and server operations.
- Prompt resolution of infrastructure-related issues.
- Clear and updated documentation.
- Effective coordination with vendors and security partners.
- Minimal recurring outages or user-impacting issues.
