Scrum Master and Healthcare experience will make up the perfect candidate.
SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Project Manager will be responsible for successfully managing multiple corporate projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost. Responsibilities will include acquiring resources in a matrix environment, and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will develop the project’s plan and schedule; track budget, expenses and risks;
escalate issues; develop mitigation plans; communicate status regularly to all stakeholders, and oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle.
To be successful in this role the Project Manager must possess equal amounts of project management expertise and business acumen. They must work closely with Executives, Project Sponsors and other business stakeholders to understand, interpret and evaluate business objectives, risks and constraints. All this must be conducted within the guidelines set forth by AvMed’s Strategy to Execution (S2E) Office.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The individual will have customary project management responsibilities including:
- Ability to execute multiple projects. At least 2 medium size projects at a time.
- Managing teams (onsite and remote)
- Managing and tracking project annual budgets and scheduling expenditures
- Managing forecasting requirements, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
- Status reporting, including regular team and Steering Committee meetings
- Assessing risk and cross-functional impact and developing mitigation plans
- Tracking, escalating and resolving issues
- Communications and Change Management
- Ability to manage Testing and Training Plans
- Conduct post project evaluation and value realization
- Reviewing business cases, project charters and status reports
- Following-up with stakeholders and other project managers
- Tracking and reporting project realized value
- Participate in the creation or updates to departmental processes and procedures
- Participating in planning sessions and department meetings
- Performing various types of analyses
- Recognizes and observes all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Focuses on achieving departmental and organizational objectives.
- Maintains professional appearance by complying with dress code in an appropriate manner
- Complies with company policies and procedures, which includes punctuality as they relate to work time, lunch, and break periods.

- ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 5 years direct and proven work experience in a Project Manager capacity, including all aspects of project development and execution required
- At least 2 years directly managing IT related projects required
- At least 2 year managing Business Intelligence projects required.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and waterfall methodology is required.
- CSM (Certified Scrum Master) and/or CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) certifications is a definite plus
- Excellent IT skills and understanding of software development lifecycle required
- Experience developing and managing large budgets required
- Experience using MS Project and SharePoint required
- Excellent communications skills required
- Experience managing or supporting projects in a health care environment preferred
- PMP certification is highly preferred
- Experience gathering business requirements preferred
- Good understanding of Earned Value Management preferred
