In the role of Financial Data Analyst for the Shipboard Financial Analytics group, you will be a key contributor to the success of Carnival Cruise Lines by providing technical expertise and analytical support to the organization’s shipboard financial and operational teams. You will work with management to develop, track, and analyze recommendations for important strategic initiatives. This role will be responsible for executing the technical analysis, design, development, and implementation of data warehousing and reporting platform solutions for various teams, focusing on Tableau as the system of end-user data consumption.

Other responsibilities may include ensuring the accuracy of the data through data validation and ongoing maintenance of reporting systems and other special projects or processes.

Essential Functions
  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Generate regular and ad‑hoc reports for different departments and teams.
  • Create visually compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards to present data‑driven insights to stakeholders. Use data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business objectives and provide data‑driven recommendations.
  • Constantly self‑improve, in addition to developing other members of the team and promoting an environment of teamwork and high professional standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1+ year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in cruise industry or hospitality.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong data visualization skills and experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt easily to change in dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a keen attention to industry‑specific details.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, tailored to cruise industry stakeholders.
  • An understanding of the cruise industry, its unique challenges, and data sources is highly beneficial.
Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities.

Travel

No or very little travel likely.

Work Conditions

Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in‑office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
