Overview
SAP OTC Specialist (Order-to-Cash) (contract) role vides advanced support and expertise in SAP OTC processes, with a focus on troubleshooting, problem resolution, and operational improvement. Requires hands-on experience with SAP S/4
HANA OTC, logistics execution, and order management, plus ability to manage escalations, support go-live/hypercare, and drive resolutions across client sites. Responsible for analyzing order backlogs, identifying systemic issues, and driving improvements.
- Analyze open order backlog and identify resolution pathways.
- Derive patterns and recurring issues by customer and warehouse location, and manage problem resolution.
- Support escalated blocked orders from the L1 tier and provide actionable solutions.
- Direct teams with step-by-step instructions to clear orders.
- Identify and recommend areas of operational improvement.
- Manage reporting and documentation, including tips, tricks, and workarounds.
- Provide hands-on support during emergency situations and escalations.
- Support go-live and hypercare activities, ensuring stability of operations.
- Work onsite at client locations with 100% weekly travel required (Miami, FL; Houston, TX; Chandler, AZ; Wichita, KS; O’Fallon, MO).
- 6–10 years of SAP OTC experience in order management.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP S/4
HANA OTC, logistics execution, and order-to-delivery processes. - Deep knowledge of ATP (Available-to-Promise) and backorder processes.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving order management issues in live environments.
- Strong knowledge of ALE/IDOCs and SAP Fiori.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and act as a self-starter.
- Ability to work under pressure in critical, time-sensitive situations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for order backlog management.
- Skilled in identifying patterns, trends, and operational gaps to improve efficiency.
- Capable of working closely with cross-functional teams in distributed locations.
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities to capture learnings and processes.
- Core Expertise: SAP S/4
HANA OTC;
Order-to-Cash lifecycle management;
Logistics execution. - Languages & Frameworks: SAP ABAP (basic understanding for IDOC troubleshooting preferred).
- Reactive & Event-Driven Tools: ALE/IDOC processing.
- Cloud & Containerization: SAP Fiori Apps (UI/UX layer).
- Database & Messaging: SAP data integration and reporting (custom tables, IDOCs).
- Dev Ops & CI/CD:
Not applicable (focus is on SAP operational support). - Other Tools & Technologies:
Order backlog reporting and analytics; ATP and backorder processing tools. - Soft Skills:
Leadership and team coordination; strong communication with business and technical teams; self-learning and proactive problem solving; travel flexibility and on-site engagement.
Compensation & Benefits
:
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $49.83/hour - $77.86/hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
