Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

On behalf of one of our amazing clients, we are conducting an executive search for their next people leader. We are looking for a people leader, not a rulebook—someone who understands that culture is built daily.

Location:

Miami, FL.

Schedule:

Primarily onsite with flexibility for remote. The company values its people as the foundation of everything they build and aims to be one of the best companies to work for in Florida, now and for years to come.

They are seeking a thoughtful, entrepreneurial, and deeply people-centered leader to join them as the Director of People & Culture
. This role is equal parts strategic and human: someone who can strengthen trust in HR, elevate the employee experience with care and consistency, and serve as a trusted partner across every level of the organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader will sit at the leadership table and help shape the company’s people strategy as they scale with intention, integrity, and long-term vision.

  • Build trust in HR by creating transparent, responsive, and empathetic people practices.
  • Create moments that matter, from shared meals and team experiences to meaningful recognition and connection.
  • Deliver a white-glove employee experience across every touchpoint of the employee lifecycle.
  • Guide the leadership team and employees through the development of their mission statement and core values, ensuring they are lived, not laminated.
Strategic & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design aligned with business objectives.
  • Act as a true conductor, bringing clarity, alignment, and momentum across teams.
  • Build and lead a best-in-class recruiting function with a strong pipeline of top talent.

  • Create an onboarding experience that builds belonging from day one.
Performance, Engagement & Total Rewards
  • Own the performance management process end-to-end, including goal-setting, feedback, and development planning.
  • Lead engagement and retention strategies that are mutually beneficial for both the company and the employee.
  • Manage total compensation, benefits, payroll, incentives, and rewards programs.
  • Build robust learning and development programs for all levels, including frontline leaders and executives.
  • Identify internal talent and career pathways to support long-term growth.
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee all HR systems, policies, procedures, and employee handbook administration.
  • Ensure full multi-state compliance across employment laws and regulations.
  • Implement and deliver all HR services in a timely, professional, and solutions-oriented manner.
Employee Relations & Problem Solving
  • Lead employee relations with empathy, courage, and clarity.
  • Identify challenges head-on, address issues early, and design practical solutions that strengthen trust and accountability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees alike.
Build a Best-in-Class HR Organization
  • As the business scales, hire, mentor, and grow an exceptional HR team.
  • Establish HR as a respected, high-impact function that leads with credibility and care.
What you will bring to the table
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience in entrepreneurial settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Servant-leader mindset with a passion for changing lives through great leadership.
