Systems Specialist

Overview

Our client is seeking a People Systems Specialist to manage their HR technology ecosystem, supporting franchisees and external vendors. This individual will oversee the configuration and integrations of HRIS, ATS, onboarding, and payroll systems, ensure accurate data flow, and serve as the primary escalation point for system-related questions. Their day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining workflows and permissions, producing reports, supporting audits, documenting processes, and leading key HR technology projects and enhancements.

While central to system setup and optimization, this role does not run payroll or process HR transactions.

• Manage the HR technology ecosystem, including HRIS, ATS, onboarding, and payroll systems.
• Oversee configuration and integrations; ensure accurate data flow across systems.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for system-related questions.
• Maintain workflows and permissions to support secure and efficient operations.
• Produce reports and support audits; document processes thoroughly.
• Lead key HR technology projects and enhancements.
• Collaborate with franchisees and external vendors as needed.

• 2+ years of experience working with HR systems.
• Experience with HRIS, ATS, and payroll platforms.
• Strong data literacy with the ability to build and interpret reports.
• Ability to convert business needs into effective system configurations.
• Experience with system implementations and integrations, including APIs or middleware tools.
• Self-starter mentality with a positive and collaborative spirit.
• Background in supporting a growing or multi-site organization.
