About The Job
We’re looking for a Business Systems Analyst to help simplify, scale, and support our HRIS system — Workday. Working as a member of the People Systems team, you’ll partner closely with People Operations, Talent, Finance, Payroll, and other internal stakeholders to analyze technology and process gaps, design solutions, implement technology, and support launches.
You will be the functional subject matter expert for Absence, Benefits, Payroll, and Time Tracking, responsible for driving configuration, process improvements, and end-to-end system support. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on Workday configuration experience, and a proactive mindset to continuously enhance system usability and automation.

As part of Justworks, the People Systems team is charged with delivering an amazing employee experience and ensuring our People & Talent systems, tools and processes support our growing people and business needs. You will be an integral part of Justworks’ growth and success by supporting and building HR systems, processes and ensuring they are documented and compliant, driving efficiency and solutions for the team and business.
Act as the primary contact and subject matter expert for supported Workday modules (Absence, Benefits, Payroll, and Time Tracking), addressing system inquiries, issues, and enhancement requests.
Your Success Profile
- Serve as the Workday functional lead for Absence, Benefits, Payroll, and Time Tracking modules, ensuring accurate configuration, business process design, and alignment with organizational policies.
- Partner with cross functional partners to analyze current processes and recommend technical solutions that increase automation, accuracy, and compliance.
- Configure, test, and deploy enhancements in Workday, including Business Processes, Condition Rules, Calculated Fields, and EIBs.
- Support ongoing system maintenance including open enrollment, year-end payroll activities, absence plan updates, and time tracking rule changes.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and coordinate resolutions across HRIS, Payroll, and integration partners.
- Perform data audits, monitor integration feeds, and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Manage bi-annual Workday releases, evaluating feature updates, testing new functionality, and recommending adoption strategies.
